This year is our first experience in 'celebrating' our Chinese New Year in Kuala Lumpur. Due to the Chinese tradition culture, we are not allow to celebrate nor giving out ang pow to others as my late father-in-law just passed away for less than a year.
We usually have to travel to Raub, Pahang and spend our Chinese New Year there for several days. Now the house in Raub is vacant and we can stay away from the scary traffic jam along the KL - Pahang highway.
For me, the best new year celebration is to gather with family members, eat and rest well. The best part is, I have the opportunity to shop for what I want this time. Hahaha! Overjoyed!
Other than not going back to Raub, we still giving and receiving ang pows. We have big meals in restaurant daily and also 'lo yu sang' for many times. If the 'yu sang' really can give me best of luck and great fortune, I will definitely be a multi millionaire this year.
My hubby and I are very pleased to see my girl plays happily everyday with her cousins. They can dig out many toys and play non-stop. However they will behave well and play with their own itouch in the restaurant.

The Garden Hotel, Malaysia
We had another free trip to KL and were given an executive suite at The Garden Hotel, next to Mid Valley shopping mall. It's convenient for shopping and dinning for sure. Due to too convenient, I have to buy another new big luggage to pack my shopping haul there. So you can judge whether staying there has more pros or cons. Haha!
Some photos to show the interior design of the room.
We did enjoy our stay. Highly recommend to those who loves to shop comfortably. (U know, many times we just couldn't manage the things we bought. But if you are staying in this hotel, no worries, just bring your shopping bags back to the room and return to the mall for 2nd and 3rd round will do.)
Nice bathroom with separate areas for the long bath + shower, sink, dressing area and also toilet bowl. |
A view from my room. We can see The Garden Residency. |
Swimming pool and city view too. |
Again, my princess always try out and enjoy the bed first. |
"It's so soft and nice, mummy!" |
"Check out the cartoon channel!" (LCD tv is provided too. Sorry for not taking the photo of the tv cabinet etc as the area was full of luggage. Too messy to show on my blog. Haha!) |

Finally my princess is 'old' enough (25-month-old) to have her own seat. This is her set meal given by MAS. |

Check out what's inside the meal box: Waffle with maple syrup, Oreo cookies, fruits, Kit-Kat chocolate bar, chocolate cake and one packet of mini size Milo. We like the colorful cutlery though. |

She loves the Milo drink as usual. Other than that, she has no interest at all. |

Oh! Except the small booklet & mini pen attached in the set too. Time to scribble..... |

My princess's first International (flight) trip is to Singapore before her 2-year-old birthday this year (excluding her countless Brunei trip of course). We brought her to the National Library and she loves being there. The books are wonderful and the facilities are great! She spent a long time playing the computer too. The way she 'plays' the computer is quite gentle and she did look like a IT specialist. Haha~! ^^

Meal time at 龙的传人, Mid Valley
Some shots of my princess enjoying her food. She knows how to dig the paste from the bun and enjoyed slowly. Are you curious on what bun was she eating?
Tadah~ It is this beautiful and cute piggy. (Steamed bun with red bean paste). This little fellow (Mrs. Piggy) come in a pair. My princess had managed to take one and now left this lonely piggy in the tray.
Let's see what happened to Mr. Piggy after my girl tried to finish it with her spoon?
