Elmo Loves You

Elmo is a Muppet character on the children's television show Sesame Street

He is a furry red monster who hosts the last full fifteen minute segment on Sesame StreetElmo's World, which is aimed at toddlers.

Elmo is self-described as three-and-a-half years old and characteristically avoids pronouns, referring to himself in the third person (e.g. "Elmo has a question" rather than, "I have a question").

Found this online. Cute pouch huh!

First .gif file on my blog. Let's welcome our cute Elmo!

I'm a cute monster. Hug me!

My daughter loves Elmo very much. She keeps requesting for Elmo's DVD series. We have many Elmo DVDs for her, including Elmo's World series.

Our princess have Elmo board books set, Elmo story books set, Elmo shoes (Crocs, bought by Aunty Winnie), Elmo t-shirts and Elmo plush toys (given by Aunty Betty). She just feels happy when she sees Elmo. Well, have to say that Elmo is such a cute monster with positive attitude all the time. He is polite, friendly, loving and smart. He has no teeth but big smiley mouth. My princess always request her daddy to draw Elmo on her drawing book. She just never have enough of Elmo.

Whenever she wears this pair of Elmo shoes,
she will walk happily and refused to take off the shoes at the end of the day. -_-
One day, my daughter and I have such conversation as follow:
daughter: Elmo is a boy. (cuddling with her Elmo plush toy)
me: No. Elmo is a monster.
daughter: Mummy is a monster.
me: .......(speechless)
(Then when my hubby came back from work, once my daughter overheard I told him about the above conversation, she came over and pointed at her daddy.)
daughter: Daddy is THE monster!
hubby: Then who are you?
daughter: I am a robot. (mimicking the sound of the robot)
hubby and I: ....................(speechless)

I believe many parents out there are searching for Elmo's product when they know their children love Elmo. Sometimes I don't know whether I'm the one who is addicted to Elmo or really do all these collection for the sake of my princess.

I found Cookie Monster is quite cute too. He always say, "Me want cookies!" and "Om nom nom nom" (said through a mouth full of food). Other than munching his cookie with his voracious appetite (quite greedy and messy too), he doesn't teach much like Elmo whose characters is often used to reach children with important messages, such as fire safety, potty training etc.

Sesame Street has many cute characters, such as Oscar the grouch, Big Bird, Ernie and Bert, Telly Monster, Abby Caddaby etc. I think I have to admit that I love them too! ^^

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is an American children's television series, that premiered in prime time on Disney Channel.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto star in the series, which focuses on interacting with the viewer to stimulate problem solving. Pete, Clarabelle Cow,Ludwig Von Drake, Chip 'n' Dale, Willie the Giant, Butch, Figaro the Kitten, Humphrey the Bear,Salty the Seal, and Mortimer Mouse have made guest appearances.
Disney says that each episode has the characters help children "solve a specific age-appropriate problem utilizing basic skills, such as identifying shapes and counting through ten." The series uses "Disney Junior's 'whole child' curriculum of cognitivesocial and creative learning opportunities."
Once the problem of the episode has been explained, Mickey invites viewers to join him at the Mousekadoer, a giant Mickey-head-shaped computer whose main function is to distribute the day's Mousekatools, a collection (usaully 3,4, or possibly 5) of objects needed to solve the day's problem, to Mickey. Once the tools have been shown to Mickey on the Mousekadoer screen, they are quickly downloaded to Toodles, a small, Mickey-head-shaped flying extension of the Mousekadoer.

By calling, "Oh Toodles!" Mickey summons him to pop up from where he is hiding and fly up to the screen so that the viewer can pick which tool Mickey needs for the current situation. One of the tools is a "Mystery Mouskatool", which is a surprise tool represented by a question mark. My princess loves the songs in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Other than Elmo, Mickey is her next favorite idol. She will jump and dance together when they sing "The Hot Dog Song" before the show ended. She will count together with the Disney characters and laugh out loud while watching this program. I bought her Mickey Mouse board books for her to read and she loves it very much. She can kept reading them again and again as the books are small to hold and only came with 1-2 sentences on a page.

We bought her Mickey Mouse Toddler Harness from USA too. She loves to wear it when we bring her to crowded shopping mall. When she is sitting on her car seat or staying in the hotel (when no other soft toy to hold), she will hug this Mickey and cuddle with it for a very long time.

Watching the advertisement from the display TV in the supermarket
with the Mickey toddler harness on her back.

Enjoying her nice, warm milk while hugging her Mickey and watching cartoon at The Garden hotel room.

Pocoyo

Pocoyo is a four-year-old charmer who has gathered a crew of friends to explore his world: Pato, his duck, Loula, his dog, Ellie, his elephant, and Sleeping Bird, Little Bird, Egg, and Octopus. The name, Pocoyo, in Spanish it means 'Little Me'.

He is a child just like any other, he often laughs, he sometimes cries, and he loves playing and having fun. He also represents the child in all of us and the child we would all like to be. He is playful, spontaneous, fearless and very curious! Everything in Pocoyo’s life is new, exciting and above all fun – brimming over with opportunities to play and learn.

He is a little boy full of exuberant, wide-eyed curiosity who loves to explore the world around him. Affectionate, sociable and playful, Pocoyo is also learning about the essentials of human relationships and emotions.

Pocoyo is not a model-child for preschoolers. He is on the same voyage of discovery as they are.

Pocoyo is about a young child’s discovery of the world around him. It is about learning how to learn.
It is about curiosity, openness, interest, tolerance, respect and love – fundamental human values.
Pocoyo represents an aspirational ideal, the kind of world that parents and carers would love their kids to experience.

Pocoyo is about learning through laughter.

The name Pocoyo was invented by one of the creator's daughter two-year-old. He was reading one of his daughter's favourite bed time stories, and at the end she tried to say that the main character was "like me" (como yo) , but it came out as "little me" (poco yo).

Pocoyo is a brand new pre-school animated series about the captivating adventures of Pocoyo, an inquisitive and fun-loving little boy. Pocoyo is a child with an insatiable curiosity, living in a world of limitless opportunities. Featuring a cast of colourful, loveable characters, Pocoyo captures the imagination and stimulates children to watch, listen and interact, promoting creativity, self-awareness and self-confidence by learning through laughter.

Each episode typically opens with Pocoyo at play, until he suddenly spots an object which he starts to explore. His exploration of and play with the object leads to a situation which needs resolution, sometimes with the assistance of his friends. Regular songs, music and dance sequences are incorporated in each episode.

Each programme is carefully crafted to ensure the material and language is both appropriate and relevant to a pre-school child. However, it also introduces a world of fantasy to stimulate the imagination and develop a sense of fun. Many early learning concepts such as numbers, space, shape, colour and pattern are introduced in an orderly, clear and simple way.

Pocoyo is more about learning how to learn than about teaching specific lessons. The door is opened to a universe of happiness and laughter where anything can happen as Pocoyo and his friends discover everything around them, making children want to do the same in their own world.

There are newer characters also: space aliens, spiders and more. My daughter loves this show very much! This is her first favourite cartoon before she gets 1-yr-old. We just need to mention "Pocoyo", she will immediately keep quiet (no matter how cranky she was) and look at the tv screen.

You needn't worry whether this cartoon has any bad or negative story line as they are all positive and cute. Children just sit down there and learn happily in each 7 minutes episode. There are total of 104 episodes though.

The background is always simple but the expression of the characters are so well done. Now the cartoon is available on youtube and also DVD in the market. Feel free to visit their offical website at

Cute animation which your children shouldn't miss!
